Tour Highlights

On June 1-17, 2012, Prof. Robson Marinho coordinated a Study Tour program enrolling 24 graduate students to explore the globalization of higher education, focusing on student mobility and intercultural communication. Participants conducted research on cross-cultural challenges and perspectives of Higher Education around the world. The program included interaction with faculty and students of St. Petersburg State University, Moscow State University, University of Copenhagen, and University of Helsinki.

Warsaw to Berlin

We had our last long bus drive today from Warsaw to Berlin. The morning started with rain, but again God blessed us with sunshine the rest of the day. It was about 23 degrees Celsius. We traveled on a new highway which saved us time in travel.  We crossed the Oder River which is the natural border between Poland and Germany, landing at our final country before coming home. We had dinner together at the hotel, and a relaxing and inspiring vespers led by Chantal before going to bed.

The last day of our tour!

We got up early this morning and had breakfast before our tour of Berlin with a local guide. We saw many monumental sights in the city and took advantage of the photo opportunities.

Then most of us went to an English speaking church in Berlin. Chantal, Amilah, and Hilda sang a special music, and Beverly played the piano.  The church members then prepared a fabulous potluck lunch for us to enjoy before touring more of the city.

Christiane was our local expert guide the rest of the day. We traveled by tram all over the city for various historical sights.  We ended at a German restaurant that was delicious. This was our last day, and tomorrow we fly home. We have missed our families and friends, and are looking forward to being back with them.  Thank you for your prayers during this trip.
